[NEWS][130402] BOYFRIEND Stays at No. 2 on the Oricon!

Boyfriend has been rising fast in Japan as the next generation′s K-Pop star.

According to the Oricon on April 1, Boyfriend′s third Japanese single album Melody of the Eyes landed on no. 2 on the service′s Daily Chart.

Though the album was released on March 27, it has managed to stay in the top 5 for a whole week, unlike other albums that dip sharply in sales after the first few days. It even managed to surpass the likes of Kara, FT Island, MBLAQ and Supernova on the day it reached second place.

The promotional single of the album has especially been making issues as the ending theme of the animationDetective Conan. Boyfriend is the first foreign artist to sing a theme for the animation.

Melody of the Eyes is a love song sung toward a precious person, and is said to express Boyfriend′s more mature side.

“The group will be holding its second exclusive live concert Boyfriend Love Communication 2013 on June 1 in Tokyo and June 2 in Osaka.”
